Eight Months of Catch Up!

Here is a sampling about what the Kinneys have been up to...

December

Brody didn't want me to take his picture. This is his pouting pose. Arms folded and big scowl.
Noah wakes up every day and wants to play in the snow. Every morning he says, "It snowed today!"
Merry Christmas!!

November

Aaron and I went to Seattle for the MLS Cup. It was fantastic. Seattle is a great city. We shopped, saw a really cool octopus, ate great food, and saw Real beat the Galaxy in the championship game.
It was amazing how many Real fans made the trip to Seattle. I was so proud.
Very flattering picture of us under the Space Needle.
Brody loved throwing snowballs at me.

The first attempt at a snowman this season. He is a little sad looking, and he didn't last more than two minutes before Brody kicked him down.

Ryan's Baptism

Our nephew, Ryan, was baptized in Idaho in October. It was great to be able to be there for it, and to spend some time with Aaron's family. Noah and Brody love playing with their older cousins.

October

The boys loved playing out in the dirt while Aaron mowed the lawn.
I came home from work one night and couldn't find my family. I looked out my back window and saw two little heads at the very back of my yard.
Noah and Brody yelled, "Happy Halloween!" at the doors instead of "trick-or-treat." They both loved everything about it this year.
Brody will put anything into his mouth once. Well, with raw pumpkin seeds it was more than once. He would put one in, chew a little,, gag, then spit it out, and put another one in.
Look at that belly!
Pumpkin patch!
Brody adores his cousin, Abbie.

September

This is Brody's sad face. Whenever the mood changes and we start talking about something sad, Brody makes this face.
Noah and Aaron flying a kite. We went to a kite and hot air balloon festival and it was so much fun. The kites were huge and amazing.
First day of school!! Noah loves preschool. Brody was feeling a little left!

Noah wants to name our next child, "Miss Ali," after his preschool teacher.

August

We went on a little trip to Flaming Gorge with my side of the family. It was great to get away and let the boys be outside so much. They loved being able to run every where. Noah even had his first experience sleeping in a tent. Brody, didn't sleep.

I don't know if I will every understand why boys like to throw rocks into water. It starts so young, and apparently never stops.

Noah played on his first soccer team. He didn't really understand what was going on the first few games. He was the youngest one on the team, and by far, the least competitive. All he cared about doing was chasing after the other kids. He didn't follow the ball, just the kids.
His uniform will probably fit him for the next 3 years.
We spent a lot of time at the Farmington pond. The boys loved the play in the dirt and throw rocks in the water.
I love Noah in this picture. It took everything he had not to chase after the geese.

July

"On your mark, get set, go!" Brody is getting ready to race.

Potty training Noah. Or attempting to. I really don't want to say any more about this. This was not the highlight of anyone's summer, or fall, at the Kinney house.

July was a big month for Brody...He finally started walking. That's right, it only took him 16 months!

Abbie got a little intense throwing those snap-pop things. Better not get in her way...

June

We tried to spend as much time outside as possible this summer. Aaron's parents gave Noah and Brody a sand and water table. Both of them loved it. They were both covered in sand and water all summer.

We went to the dinosaur park in Ogden. Noah was squealing and stomping he was so excited.

We went to the park and played with cousins.

May

Aaron and I went to Hawaii in May to celebrate him getting his MBA. I had never been there, and it was wonderful. Relaxing, beautiful, quiet, relaxing... We took surfing lessons, swam with sea turtles, slept, ate great food.
